Love mine. I'm getting 31mpg indicated long term consumption. Mix of longer runs and local stuff. Engine is sublime. Always brings a smile to my face whether it's pootling along in quiet and refined mode or snarling with stick to the left and foot on the floor in hooligan mode. Running costs so far good. Car's now 15 months old with 13k on the clock and first service showing in another 10k. Tyres look good for another 15k miles too.

Only down side is suspension. Mines the M - Sport, but it's still wallowey unless you do some upgrades- ACS, Bilstein, Birds etc.

Love mine to and now it has a few miles on it it just gets better and better. I seem to be struggling on fuel economy though. Mine is running at in the low 20's but that may have something to do with a combination of short journeys and the fact I love the noise and acceleration when you floor it.

Great car. Mine is just over 3yrs now, so currently looking at moving to the 340i. Averaging about 29mpg long term consumption.

The engine did not really loosen up until about 20k and it felt like a different car.
When changing there are options i am willing to depart with, however the are equally options that the next car must have HUD,electrics seats and Harman Kardon being amongst them.

Awesome all around car. Struggle to find a similar price car that is a mixture of build quality, refinement, fun and practicality.

Comfort mode with kids, happy days chugging along 31mpg average mix of mway and rural.

Into sport stick left and all the fun you need this side of an M3, which it isn't, but with the MPE just sounds awesome

I have Msport suspension and don't find it too soft, but I'm no track day specialist

Really happy with mine, after two years of ownership it still surprises me with its performance, which is stunning, the economy, at 31 mpg overall is amazing , and the comfort are all beyond my expectations.

How are you guys getting 29-31 mpg? Don't get that. My mpg is 15.7 and I haven't floored it in a week.

Love the car, have it with adaptive M suspension and it's probably the best thing to have. I get about 22-24 MPG during winter, and between 26-28 MPG during summer even if I have a heavy foot, around 32-35 MPG highway.

I have MPPK and Borla ATAK aftermarket exhaust and absolutely love the exhaust note.

Will get ACS or Dinan springs later along with DP/CP.

:
Excellent. My 35i is sitting on 27mpg but that's only that high because of 60% motorway miles which is probably what those above do.

Yeh my 340i has dropped to 27mpg after 400 miles and I'm trying to keep it below 4500 rpm for first 1200. I did accidentally red line it this morning in sport mode . These cars just encourage us to go faster officer
