Options on a 340i

Hi;

First post - am about to order a 340i Saloon. First time I have not paid close to 'list price' thanks to the info on here - saved me a small fortune!

The options list I have is pretty short;

8 speed auto
M-sport +
Adaptive sport suspension

Probably going Black Outside, Oyster inside.

Are there any other 'must have' options that I should think about adding or might regret not getting?

Cheers

I went for your three choices which are all excellent. Over and above those I went Pro Media package which is worth it for sure and the rear parking camera. I've also added post pick up black kidney grilles and M Sport front floor mats which both add to the car aesthetically IMO.. I wish I'd gone for rear folding seats but that comes as part of the comfort package at 750 quid so left it off. That aside no regrets. Best of luck....

Heated Steering Wheel - never been off for 3 months.
Lumbar Support

If you go for HUD, then add speed limit indication.

Well, Brigand has had a go at spending your £10k saving already, but what about adding Reversing Camera, Comfort Access and adaptive suspension to that list?

That still leaves you about £3k change from your saved £10k

I'd add the Interior comfort package, Media package - Professional Plus, VSS, Lumbar support, and I fancy trying Surround-view which will also add folding mirrors and rear camera, but then I add just about every option known to man

OP, you need to check out the following link and have a good hard think.

Are you a Sheep or do you have that spark of individuality?

Why save all that cash and be a sheep?

Does it come with zenons / leds? Saw a LCI 335D in MK this week with candle bulbs @ the front!!!

Heated steering wheel is high on my list now after having one in current car.

OP, the only 'must have' you're missing is the Media Pack Pro. IMO

I went pro media + pack, msport+ pack, sports auto and heated seats. That is just perfect for me. I'm happy with the standard suspension and you get led as standard on all msport now.

I'm not bothered by all of these reversing cameras and all that.

The media package professional seems to be the most popular item I am missing - what does this add over and above the standard BMW Navigation Package?

Bigger screen, BMW concierge service , real time traffic information. I'm sure there's more - it is lovely TBH. The msport + pack and pro media + pack add around £39/ month onto the standard car. That's a lot of options for the money and it's because they are the few options that add to the gfv

for god sake don't get caught out thinking the rear seats fold as std.. they don't.

so if you want to out anything long in the car you need to spec the folding rear seats.

for what its worth if you were going with your spec you listed I would swap adaptive for HUD because I use HUD all the time every day and find the std dampers and ride just about perfect..

that's your £10k spent !

I'd spec pro media/Msport+ pack and I'd change the interior trim if you're with oyster as I don't think the standard alu trim goes well with it.
