Those seats still look odd to me, the back rest part looks flimsy even.

I doubt this is a production car. Production only started a few days ago. Willing to bet it's a preproduction show car going around to different dealers.

I second Mario_Kart, It is almost certainly one of the show car that is making the rounds at the shows we have seen and is a representation of what they will be buying.

Canada is ahead of US delivery, and the first cars being produced in Q1 are only the EuroTour Delivery Recipients, the bulk of production is in Q3.

Did you read the article?

That "article" was made long before the car was produced, but it's there in the flesh now is it not, I talked to the guys at Kuni and they said the bidder is taking the car home.

It's a LIVE auction so you have to be in person, on top of that the winning bid takes the car home.

I talked to the general manager and sales manager. This car will be going to another car show after the auction.

There it is then.

I forgot to post back on here, the dealership called me back to correct what the salesperson said..
That it's NOT going to someones house after. It's just a placeholder..

It was also for charity though if you look at the link. So anything above the MSRP is considered a charitable donation and therefore tax deductible.

Yes it was for charity! It's still nice to see it went for more that MSRP

This is a Win-Win-Win deal. The buyer gets a new M4GTS for list price, gets a tax deductible donation of $65k to a charity he was likely to give too anyway, and, he's not paying $200k to a Flipper!

The dealer gets great press, community support and has an awesome event for its customers.

The charity gets $65k, great publicity and more donations.

A real Win-Win-Win!
