Wheel Lock Choices

Hello everyone!

My new F80 did not come with wheel locks. I thought it would not hurt to ask which one is better choice between two. I know it is all personal choice but, I should get some opinions first before getting one.

Basically BMW Sells two different styles of M14 1.25 wheel locks:
1) 36136792851 McGard Style
2) 36136776076 Internal Spline Style

Thanks in advance!

No personal preference between the two but I do have a set of the McGard style ones I'm selling for $40. Has less than 10 miles on them. Let me know if you're interested.

Wheel locks help protect against the complete amateur, but it's so easy to defeat it's basically not worth it. A simple youtube or google search tells you how to get them off in 10 minutes or less...

that is my experience as well. That's why I don't bother too much with it.
Try not to park or leave car in such places.

its like having locks on your luggage when you check your bags. It keeps honest people honest. The way I see it, if they had an easier target, they may leave yours alone....but if they want your wheels and have time, they will get them.
