Newly installed angel eyes turn off

Just installed dtec v8 led angel eyes which I bought from a member here. Installation went fine. Tested it, everything works and as I'm trying to take a picture both angel eyes turn off. The low beams stay on. Display is showing warning left/right daytime running light malfunction. Turned the car off, double checked all 3 connections on each side, everything is solid. Start car, everything works again. 10-15 seconds later both angel eyes turn off again. Kept doing this for 3 or 4 times, same result every time. Today I tried switching my lights off and driving with just the angel eyes on, and they stayed on the entire 10 minute trip. So for some reason it only happens when both angel eyes and low beams are on. I assume it has nothing to do with the lights themselves? Could it be drawing too much power where the computer shuts them off? I drive an early 07 e92.

this has nothing to do with the battery, since the connections are solid as stated, for the E92 2006 to 2007, we have a specialized driver modules which are flicker free, NO OBC code, and amazing bright white PM Sent!

When the battery level gets low there is programming which will turn off non-essential items such as the angel eyes.

I don't think it has anything to do with the battery, I don't know how old it is as it came with the car when I purchased it but I know the battery is still strong and my old angel eyes worked without any issues.

E92-Lighting contacted me and explained that for older models (2006 and early 2007) there are different driver modules. I didn't know this when purchasing, so I accidentally purchased the regular one.

I went and placed an order with e92-lighting for the older driver module, it should be in soon. I'll update the thread when it's solved.

+1, exactly what we stated earlier, sometimes it may or may not be, but in this case we already knew the battery was not the issue from the ground up
