Tyre Rotation

My car is due for it's first service..

Looking at other threads in the forum it appears that BMW does not recommend tyre rotation. Is that correct for Aust too?

Would the dealer do it if asked? (for a fee)

If your wheels/tyres are staggered (rear wheels wider than front wheels), then you can't rotate them. It also depends if your tyre treads are symmetrical or not.

Check your tyre specs for both front and rear. If they're identical and the tyre treads are symmetrical, then you can rotate the tyres.

Reporting back, the stealership charged $40 for the privilege....
