BMW LCI Steering Wheel Convertion

I was going to order a new LCI alcantara BMW steering wheel from BMW performance and want to know if airbag from the old steering wheel will adopt to the new LCI wheel. The website addresses this, but I can understand what there are saying.

My production date is 5/13.

No, it will not, and you need a lot of other parts with the wheel to make it work.

@RoboM5 , PM me the last 7 of your VIN and I'll give you a quote.
If your car is pre-LCI, you will need a new airbag for sure.

Is coding necessary for a non-lci to LCI swap?
