Aussies - Have you ordered MDCT ot MT?

Just wondering what transmission us Australians have ordered, reading through the majority of posts discussing transmissions a lot of the US crew especially appear to have opted for the 6sp manual.

I've ordered MDCT, i rarely get out of the city traffic so decided getting an 'auto' again would be my best option, i'm now second guessing myself.

I've ordered the M2 pure myself with the standard 6-speed. Where in Australia do you live? Sydney traffic is a royal pain in the ass and I find Melbourne to be a little more soothing (on the highways, certainly not around town).

To be honest the traffic doesn't phase me as much and having torquey engine means not having to shift as much.

I'm in WA so our traffic is probably nothing compared to Sydney or Melbourne but it still gets crazy busy.

I got my Pure for 99k driveway with the only option alarm and mettalic paint.

105 is a good price for the DCT though, how did you manage that?

I Called up 4 different Dealers. Got them to pretty much low ball each other. Could've got it for cheaper but got tired from emailing and making all those calls

You did really well, lets just say i paid more than that although i did option a sunroof & metallic paint.
Did you also get Metallic paint in that price?

Unfortunately we only have 2 BMW dealerships here so not much competition so haggling is difficult.

Fair enough, you put in more leg work than me so you got the reward. I was just happy that the car was that price I wasn't too fussed!

DCT here. I've had manuals, and as much as I'd love to get this in manual, the DCT is too good.

Plus I'm not a fan of the shifting in the BMW's. Throw is too long for my liking, and a PITA to shorten up, as you pretty much have to drop the tranny!

So seems that all but 2 so far have opted for the DCT, interesting, i guess we can't go wrong with either as it's going to be such a great car.

6MT.

I don't understand why a daily has to be auto?

Track cars should be auto!

Manual

Sold my A45 after 4 months as just could not live with the MCT. It felt like I was playing a video game and not connected enough with the car. Based on the recent reviews it sounds like the 6MT on the M2 is excellent. Can't wait.
