Best way to remove bumper lip (help by 3M tape)?

Hello!

Whats the best way of removing a front bumper lip that's held on by 3M tape? As strong as it has proven to be, I want to be careful not to rip anything else out while trying to yank the lip out.

I had initially put the lip on to mask some scratches, but thanks to my sister, the lip itself has a major gash (poor kid went pale when she realized what had just happened)

I've already ordered a replacement, but need to figure out how to make this as less painful as possible.

Hoping some forum members have some cool tricks, besides brute force

Maybe use a heat gun to loosen the tape? I've then used a credit card and wd40 to get the damn tape off.

Heat gun/hair dryer and fishing line to get under the tape. When it's off, grab some 3M adhesive remover and most of the nasty stuff left over should come off relatively easily.

Dental floss works as well although fishing line will be stronger and probably a little easier.

Wax & grease remover from auto paint supply will remove it with no issues. Soak, wait, soak, pull....done. If that doesn't do it a little help from a plastic bundling strap, the kind used to hold boxes together.
