Which bump stop to use for Billstein b12 pro kit?

This morning I installed just the rear shocks and springs due to time constraints. These are the B12 shocks with eibach pro springs. My car is non-sport 2007 335i so this should give it a mild drop. My question however is which bump stop & dust cover should be used? The bavauto howto video shows reusing the stock bump stop and cover but they were not changing springs. So I threw it back together that way for now and not driving it. See attached pics for the difference in travel with each stop, it's about 1 1/4" more with the new stop.

You don't use a bump stop. The bump stop is built into the strut.

I am assuming you changed out the upper/ upper & lower/ upper shock mounts for the rear.

The front, you should change out the strut bearings/ mount.

The car will take about 2,000 miles to fully break in and settle the new suspension. At that time, you will need to get an alignment done.

The rear should have came with a bump stop inside the dust cover. I would use the one provided.

Use the Bilstein supplied bump stop, NOT the OEM in the rears. As you have it shown, it's the Bilstein supplied bump stop, washer, then the blue boot over it. I have the same B12 kit. For what it's worth there are no bump stops in the front, as its internal to the Bilstein strut. Same as what came up in the thread below.

?

He's clearly talking about the rear shock, not the front strut.

Thanks for the replies! Yes this is the rears only right now and I put new upper and lower mounts along with spring pads. I'll be doing the fronts next weekend, spending valentines with the wife and kids and not in the garage today.

Just to add to the confusion I had about it. Bavauto who supplied the strut&spring kit replied back saying to reuse existing, turner motorsports who supplied the install kit said to use new ones. I'm going with the new ones but figured I'd mention that in case someone else happens to search as I did. As mentioned this is for the rears only since the fronts have integrated stops.

I spoke with a rep from bilstein when I installed mine as well as turner and Bavauto they all said use the bilstein supplied bumpstops. I did and they work great.
