335D arrived WOOO!

So my 335D has just arrived at the dealers, took 7 weeks to make and deliver. Still umming and arring about getting the engine upgrade, still need to contact BMWFS (keep forgetting)..

I was tempted to get it registered in excitement but might as well sort it in March.. But YAAYY!.

Seriously never been so anxious to recieve a car before.

What engine upgrade?

And why do you need to contact BMW FS?

You can finance any accessory over a certain value through BMW FS so maybe that's why.....

ACS performance pack, just need to make sure BMWFS will allow me to do it..

It's pretty much like the steinbauer box with a warranty.

Congrats - that anticipation feeling before collection is amazing. Be there before you know it.

I actually hadn't seen the ACS performance pack before today, is it this http://shop.ac-schnitzer.co.uk/ac-sc...f31-4765-p.asp

Interesting they do 0% finance over 12 months option as well.

Nice car, but don't get your hopes up about the performance upgrade, BMWFS won't let you do one that isn't BMW branded.

My understanding of PCP / HP through BMW FS is that they effectively still own the car until the balloon payment so there a bunch of T&C's you need to comply with (to protect their loan collateral) - one of these being not doing non-OEM stuff to the car.

Technically it's BMWFS's car as a I got it on a contract, before joining this forum I wouldn't of thought twice about it. But someone took their car in for a rattle and got told by BMWFS to either return it to stock or they'll default the car..

Never saw what the issue is though, I'll PX the car in two years and they won't take any loss.

But that's neither here or there really, I just need to ring them up. The biggest thing is I tend to change cars every two years. My other half said now they want a 220D when I get my next one, so no point in having two diesels.. I'll borrow that for long trip duties and might get myself a 340I with PPK..

Yes I know all of that, but still, why do BMW FS need to know?

It's just in case you take the car in for some work and they spot something. Just covering the basis..

Again, not sure if it's worth it anyway as it'll be replaced in a couple o' years.

From what I remember, the chap kept going in to the dealer for rattle problems (3 or 4 times?). So they checked the car over and saw the springs and reported to BMWFS. More an issue of dealer relationship than anything else.

Surely ACS bits are dealer approved as they fit ACS springs and body kits as far as I'm aware?

Well that's what I thought, but it seems even though the dealer "approves it".. Doesn't mean BMWFS will allow it..
