I will provide a $1,000 cash incentive. 12,000 mi/year lease (was originally 10,000, but was able to negotiate an additional 2,000/year at no additional charge). 2015 Mineral White M235ix in NY available for lease takeover. Added black BMW M Grilles, other than that she's stock. I'm in love with the car but I have 3 vehicles at the moment and need to consolidate. Car currently has just over 15,000 miles. Original lease term was 39 months back in November 2014, so there are currently 24 months remaining @ 1,000 miles/month after this month (February 2016).

$550 includes NY taxes, yes. I paid the tax up front in full upon taking delivery of the car.

You should double check with your dealer and BMW, but based on my knowledge the new buyer is responsible for the sales tax as well (since Auto sales are one of the few wonderful purchases subject to sales tax upon every transaction).

You may be able to reclaim part of your taxes that were paid up front and transfer that amount to the buyer - but you should check. I know in NJ or transferring out of state they would need to be paid again.

I gave BMW financial a call and yes, you are correct. The vehicle would be subject to your local sales tax, whatever that might be.

My payment is $550 because I paid the tax up front. Had I not paid it up front, the payment would have been around $600. So whoever would be assuming the lease will have to pay their local sales tax on top of the $550. So lovely that cars get taxed again and again and again...
