Window opened by itself

Parked up my F30 at B&Q earlier and whilst inside it absolutely belted it down. Came back to the car to find the rear nearside window down completely and about 3mm of water across the corresponding passenger seat.

I am 99% certain it was up when I locked the car and I don't think I knocked the button when I got out but I shrugged it off and assumed I must have. However, a quick search reveals other people with windows that open by themselves. Has anyone else experienced this?

Is it worth a trip to the dealers given its an intermittent problem?

If it was one window then it's a problem. If it was all the windows then you may of pressed the key fob in your pocket....

It was just the rear nearside. What causes it to open?

I can't imagine my insurance company would look favourably about anything taken from the car whilst the window was down!

Faulty door module, short circuit caused by rodent damage to name a couple. Get it booked in.

I had this problem with mine when I first got it. Took it to the dealer and they fiddled around and it seemed to be fixed. Then happened again recently but I couldn't swear it wasn't my finger on the button though. Its very easy to push the window button when opening the car
