What's the deal with deals?

I was searching around for a 218d / 220d for my partner, I was pretty stunned at the sheer contrast of deals from when I bought mine. Most manufacturers or course want end of year / first quater figures up so they tend to add a little more discount.

But generally there isn't a HUGE amount of difference, with BMW it's a stark contrast. At the moment, you can't even get a bog standard 320D for what I paid for a 335D with a bunch of kit and the 335D? Well there's a 200PCM / 2K deposit difference from when I bought mine two months ago.

Yes, I understand it's down to BMW's variant contributions. But don't you think the deals are a little too "night and day"?

They can be a little bit hit and miss, Peter Vardy will do you a 335d for £489 a month with £489 deposit or a 340i for £399 + £1500

Which doesn't seem bad and that's before you haggle, 218d seem to start at £299 +£3000 which seems a little heavy on the deposit.

Hmm, so going by the £25 per 1K logic.. That's rougly £364.00 PCM and 6.5K deposit (with the kit I had added on). Wheres I pay £350.00 PCM and 4.1K..

It's not bad but still a fairly chunky difference..

I found a 218D for £210.00 PCM with 2K deposit, which ain't too bad I suppose..

If you know what you want you can get cracking deals and options may cost less than you think via pcp!

I got an amazing deal on my 335D, there were some pretty cracking offers on some 2 series Beemers at the same time.. Then as soon as January came around they went sky high..

I'm sure the other half can wait out till Xmas ..
