PSA: Looks like order tracking via MYBMW on bmwusa.com is working again(FINALLY)!
Can't believe it, after months of it being broken it finally works!!!
You can add your car with Prod # or VIN.... Be aware you get better stat updates from the BMW Genius Hotline as they have access to the same tool the dealership does. |

At last! We got - - - - - nothing. Mine says: In production. That news is a week+ old. Depending on luck I could be in a parking lot in Munich, on a train, or in a parking lot at the port.
Well, at least it looks like they got the order right. |

Apparently BMWUSA only employs "under-skilled" techies. My car still shows "in production" since early November, I took delivery 3 weeks ago.
I just received an invitation to be on the "BMW Board of Drivers". Hit the link, enter model year - 2016, enter series - 3, enter model…and they don't list any 340i, just 335i models. Nice attention to detail. I spent 30+ years in IT and these jokers are SO lucky they didn't work for me. Because they'd be gone. |

Indeed, thanks for the heads up. It is good to be able to get the cars added to my account.
The website has always been a bit out of date but a bit out of date is better than completely not working. |

The thing that bugged me was that they wouldn't "fess up" that the feature was down. I'm sure many of us "early stage" waiters tried every couple of days.

Sadly, I would strongly suspect that the people who are responsible for that function in BMW probably did not even realize it was not working for a good portion of that time.
