Heated steering wheel: yes please
Many on the forum swear by heated seats but I have said that I have no interest in them.
Over the last few cold days I have made a few early starts. They have not changed my view. But I have suffered from cold hands. Not enough to do anything about it now. But next time, in about 7 years, a heated steering wheel will be on the list |

Had my car 9 days now and the heated steering wheel has been on everytime I drive it. My hands seem to suffer with the cold so it was a no brainer for me.
The wheel heats up very quickly and to a fairly high temperature. It then seems to reduce the temperature, but it is always on and warm. Not sure if it has an auto 'turn off' function. I'll read the manual one day. |

The swith is on the side of the steering column and illuminates when on. Poor location as it cant be seen by the driver. |

I'm not a fan of heated seats apart from when it's seriously sub zero outside, but I have had my heated steering wheel on plenty these past 2 weeks as also suffer cold hands.
It does warm up quickly but I switch it off when it gets hot as it holds the heat for some time, and a reasonably cheap option also - £150 ish? |

Definitely one of the best factory fit options, very cheap to spec, but horrendous as a retrofit.
Have specced heated wheels in my last 4 cars now and wouldn't be without it |

Here's a semi related question, in the F31 340i, can you alter where the heated seats.... ehhh...heat??? The distribution I guess..
In my E61 550i you could have the back on 80% bum on 20%, loved it. My 5 series is the same all over which I don't particularly like unless really cold. Would love a heated steering wheel in my Z4M! |

Love my heated seats, had em on every day since its been a bit chilly
Still never felt the need for a heated steering wheel, although I suppose its one of those "once you've had it, never go back options".......which I'd always thought about heated seats until I sold my last M3 that had them and then did 11 years without them without missing them,....now I have them again, couldnt do without!

Everyone I know who has had one won't go back. Think I'll be spec'ing it next time.

Heated seats - Yes, use them daily just now.
Heated wheel - Just can't seem to think I'd use it much. Probably one of those options you wouldn't go without once you've had it. |

Love it. You can leave it on for prolonged periods-it just stays nice and toasty.
Not an essential but if you have it, i think you'd definitely use it and appreciate it. |
