Newbie questions
1. What is the difference in BMW stock head units between Business Cd and Professional?
2. I am getting tint on saturday from a place that my dealer recommended and does all of there work. I asked about metallic tint causing a problem and they said that was the first they had heard of it. I have a non-nav car. Will anything be affected by this? They tinter says they do 4-5 cars a day for this dealership. 3. If you are in bind and have to use an automatic car wash, do you use one with the cloth or touchless? 4. Also for those of you who have 35% on your door windows and a darker % on the back window, does it look odd in person or take getting used to? I have never seen it but I am very interested in getting that done. What are the benefits of having the rear window darker? Thanks in advance I have learned a lot here! |

I'm not sure what the actual differences are.

you should never use any automatic car wash especially if your bmw is dark in color. I live in Boston and when it is too cold to hand wash i go to a detail shop and pay them to do it by hand. In a bind i would go for touchless but they never seem to get the car very clean

In california you cant (you can get a ticket if you do) have front windows tinted but everywhere else you can do as you please. So I have 35% on rear door windows and 20% on the back window. It looks great and you can't tell it is a different shading. Night vision is still great. I'm not sure what the benefit is of having it darker on the rear. |

touchless car wash...
I agree with bruno, it's not the cleanest, but its gets the dust and road dirt off admirably, and no swirls from cloths. Remeber teh cloths will pickup dirt from everybody else's car, adn then scratch your clear coat.
