Floor mats

Are there custom fit all weather floor mats on the market for the new X1? OEM or aftermarket.

BMW doesn't have them. WeatherTech only has the back set.

In the UK they're available from BMW UK for about £100 if you check on Amazon.

Have you ordered yours from Amazon, Toby? I saw them the other day. But I don't trust the description on their Amazon storefront. BMW UK accessories website is also a complete joke.

I am personally waiting on weathertech. The last time I emailed them they said 2-4 weeks before both front and back are available. This was at the beginning of December. Here is the email I received back on the 10th of December.

"Good afternoon,
Thank you for your interest with WeatherTech.

The 1st row FloorLiners for the 2016 X1 are currently in development in our studio. We expect to see this item become available in approximately 2-4 weeks. We will keep your information on file and contact you when the parts are available. If you have any further questions, please feel free to let us know.

Thank you!

All Weather Floor Mats

I got mine as part of the deal, showed as £100 on the invoice.

Seem like good mats, as they have a bit of a lip to stop water from melted snow etc. sloshing over.

I did buy the BMW all weather mats but ordered them from the dealer as that way I'd have someone to go to if they were the wrong ones.

They got really well and are great when the weather's particularly bad. Have left he rear two in place permanently for the kids until the summer.

Store them under the boot when not in use.

They're very sturdy and definitely recommended if you want to protect the carpet mats until the summer months.

I particularly like the velcro that hold them in place. I always hated the mats in my other cars floating all over the place and letting snow and salt in around the edges.

Hi guys, I'm new to the idea of weatherized floor mats. Is there an advantage to WeatherTech over BMW's weather mats? Thanks for any info.

Material-wise, they're both heavy duty rubber and will out-live the car itself. WeatherTech "Digital Fit" is normally a bit deeper (higher side walls). The main benefit to that is more protection against spilled drinks. They also may or may not provide more side protection (against transmission tunnel). Their website shows a generic photo, so I can't really tell for sure. Otherwise, both provide enough protection against all the crap that's stuck to your shoes.

Other than black, you can buy WeatherTech in grey and tan (neither one matches the BMW interior carpets and trims though). No idea why anyone would want that!

I have the BMW oem rubber mats. They are a great fit, nicely sculpted and show the X1 name tag. Very happy with them plus the dealer matched the online parts price.
