What class are you?
I remember doing this a few years ago- at that time I came out as Technical Middle class
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/magazine-34766169 It's quite interesting and I think it makes much more sense than a traditional model of upper, middle and lower. Here is the calculator: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/magazine-22000973 I just re-did it and I must have gone up in the world as almost 3 years on and I'm now Elite apparently!

I did this this morning at the airport. Came back as technical middle class whatever that means. Intesting, but a very basic set of questions. Suprised there wasn't more on attitudes, education etc. |

Done it before, as usual Technical Middle.
Thing is there is nothing about shooting, hunting, types of sports etc. As mentioned, nothing on attitudes or other bits that would link over. |

The funny thing in this survey is the fact is really is purely materialistic. Put the higher figures in the financial part and it doesn't matter what you say on social or cultural, you're still in the Elite group.
I find the whole class thing bonkers (and always have). It's all down to the values you were brought up with. For me, it was family, friends, working hard, being polite and having respect for others, regardless of their background. Hasn't done badly for me.

Technical middle class, but to be honest I do class myself as working class, no real qualifications dragged myself up by my boots straps....
Plus I'm a Yorkshireman.

I hate the phrase working class when the hardest working folk (in terms of hours, pressure, responsibility) are generally the middle classes.
And these days the phrase has become ironic in that what many people mean by the working classes is the non-working class. Also, interesting is that most people self-define their class by the class of their parents/background rather than what they've achieved... But then that's consistent with phraseology of "class" as opposed to judging things within a meritocracy.

Certainly money oriented
I put in what I thought a successful drug dealer might do and came out Elite ! Not sure I want to be classed with a drug dealer...
