Toronto: Where do you recommend Oil & Filter Change, other than BMW
Hello Torontonians!
Quick question, as I know there are many on this forum. Where do you guys/gals recommend an oil & filter change other than BMW retail? tx, e4 |

Off topic a bit...
Fellow Canadians... When is your scheduled oil change due? (indicated by computer) Mine was showing 25k km until 5k km on odometer, then 24k and 6k, 23k and 7k, 22k and 8k. So it looks like the scheduled oil change is at 30k km. That's nuts! Is this the same case for others? |

I think 25K is the first oil change interval. That's the information I am going off of. In terms of a non-dealership location, I'd suggest you are on your own. There is a place down on O'Conner I used for my old E34 (because it was always in need of some work and expensive...) but you never know what person, and how qualified they really were on it...
At least in warranty period, nobody other than a dealership should work on your baby... |

I'm looking for the same too. And yes my indicator says my first oil change is due at 25k. But my SA suggested that if I'm planning to keep the car to do a break in oil change at 1500 km and then at a 10,000km interval. He called it inexpensive insurance (considering the value of the car). I'm definitely doing the break in oil change and if I can't find a place to do it, it'll go back to the dealer.

You can try Gilman's Auto.
They are reputable and have experiences with all sorts of high end cars. Here is their address: 1940 Ellesmere Road, Unit 6 Scarborough |

did my first oil change at BMW Toronto at 3000kms three weeks ago. Cost was $125 out of pocket.. I forget if it's before or after tax..
When I took it in, the service interval was reading 25,000kms --- has not budged. After the oil change it was still 25,000 kms.. only a week later (200 kms) did the meter change to read 24,000 kms. |
