Sport Package Upgrade?

Hello all,

I just got my E90 330i on May 29, 2005. I got the base model but it has black dakota leather. I was wondering if anybody knows if I can upgrade to the sport package at the dealer? The sport package consists of sport suspension, 162 wheels, 149mph limiter, sport steering wheel, and sport seats. It sounds like major work, but will they do it? Let me know.

Why didn't you just get ZSP to begin with? Would have been a whole lot cheaper...

I think it's possible to get most (if not all) of those parts... i know you can get the 162 style wheels, the seats and the steering wheel for sure... not sure about the suspension, but i don't see why you wouldn't be able to. But like i said, be prepared to pay ALOT more than $1600.

Nice tint by the way.

Really nice picture. Great color. Seeing as how you got your e90 so early, I'm guessing you couldn't order the car as needed. Good luck with you quest in adding sport package modifications.

i'm sure you can do it, but it will really cost you a boatload of money... the wheels and tires, the new steering wheel, the seats.. I would guess at this all costing way more then you might think, especially when you factor in labor costs. (all this can be done by yourself, but im not sure you want to do it yourself..).. after you factor in all those costs, it would probably be cheaper to sell the car, take the loss and reorder a new car the way you want.

I was about to say the same thing myself..... Why not just try to find some nice aftermarket (BBS?)18's with OEM runflats. Or, do like the rest of us 325 owners will do.... Wait for the 162 rims/tires to come down in price, and then buy them then. I don't think you are going to miss the rest of the stuff in the sport package. And, if you really want to drive 155mph you can have that changed anywhere that works with BMW computers.

I know... I regret not getting the sport package to begin with. I was thinking that I would get aftermarket rims but I changed my mind... you know... shit happens.

If you decide to not go aftermarket, I'd put it for sale and order the one you want. With the car still hot, you may not lose as much as you might think.

Yeah... I do want to lower it a little bit, but not too much. Maybe Eibach pro kit. 1" to 1.25" drop is enough for me. Eibach kit for E90 is out yet? I also want to widen my tires. How wide do you think the 159's will take? Does anybody know?

There's an aftermarket suspension guide/sticky at the top of this Wheels/Tires Forum which shows the aftermarket suspension options available right now. Here's the link :
