Arcade games

Downloaded myself a free copy of mame (Multiple Arcade Machine Emulator)

and a few roms this week.

Had lots of fun playing classics like Double Dragon which I remember playing when taking swimming lessons back around 1987 at the grand age of 5 or 6.

Got to say the graphics were pretty good for the time, 28 years ago!

Got myself a cool little controller so that I can play arcade games on my PC and on my android tablet.
There's a droid version of MAME. Pretty sweet!!!

Did have to shell out an extra £7 for a dang blue tooth (version 4.0) usb dongle though. My really old laptops from 5yrs back all had blue tooth but the latest didn't. Just my luck.

I'll have to get some modern first person shooters on my droid as well. My laptop is pretty old and would cook itself trying to run anything fancy.

Double dragon II on the Nes was my all time favorite!

Bro we been doing this since the Mid-90s when emulators first came out..

When I first got into the emulator scene it was like pay back for all the damn quarters I wasted on these machines.

Btw there is a trick to beating double dragon really easy. Just elbow every bastard that gets close to you and smash again once they are getting up. You can beat the whole game with one life that way. Well except the ungodly trap area in level 4 u will probably die a few times there. idk who the fuck designed that level.

The newest laptop I own (Asus Eee) is 8 years old and the Stinkpad I use to code is probly older than some of you guys. What's old again?

yes i'm aware of that but I've never had it on my android tablet before with a nice fancy wireless controller.

I use Jnes as well.

Did exactly that last night. First figure it worked better than anything on the really big guys. Then the smaller boss guys, then everyone but I play for fun more than completing it with minimal lives.

As do I.. I'm still shocked that I was actually finish Shinobi.. That games was a brutal quarter eater..

Don't get me wrong. Still got a pentium 200 in the corner and a Pentium III and a Pentium 4. Can't use them now.
