Hello all,
I'm in the market for an ED M4 and don't have a good contact at a local Seattle dealership (BMW of Seattle, Bellevue, or Northwest). Can anyone recommend someone who can work a good deal and is knowledgeable of the process. Send me a PM Thanks! |

I worked my deal at BMW of Bellevue with David Ly and they gave me a decent deal. I ended up at $2500 over ED invoice but the MF they gave me was pretty bad (0.0020). They had an allocation ready to go though which was more than could be said for Seattle. David knew all the ins and outs of the ED process as well.
Having said that, I am not 100% sold on Bellevue. The finance lady was a pill. I had to wait more than an hour past my scheduled time to see her when I came in to sign papers. Then she tried to give me the hard sell on their paint sealants and clear bra. When i demonstrated I had more knowledge than her on the subject she got snippy with me. Then to finish it off the lost the paperwork and had to send someone down to my house and have me sign it again.

I can't stand BMW Bellevue. I live 10 minutes away from there but drove right past it to BMW Seattle to buy my M, and to do everything else that I need to have done with my M. I find Bellevue to have such a "holier than thou" privileged attitude about everything it just drives me nuts. Plus - they don't do what they say they are going to do. Working with them is like working with some "better than you" government agency. Take a number - wait - we'll get to you when we are damn well ready and by god you'll be thankful for it.
Seattle is far far better. Plus they "get" the performance cars better than Bellevue (they work with Dinan for example - Belevue doesn't). Don't really have a good contact name in sales at Seattle (just go see the sales manager). For service you want Alex Long.

I recently test drove a used M4 there and the sales guy retorted "Just wanted to drive a fast car on a nice day huh?" after I told him I was going to shop around a little more.
They are definitely not short on attitude. |

To be honest we really do not have good local dealers......especially when it comes to ED.
I always start my shopping at Seattle and always get the same response. -We don't discount for ED. And my response is always the same -Adios! I bought my M3 from Bellevue in the middle of recession in 2010 and they did $1K over ED invoice. Once the price was agreed on, the rest of the experience was positive. I bought three 335s from Hahn in Yakima via ED (they no longer sell BMWs) which was the best experience. Let us know what you find out. I hear good things about Portland.

I am still glad I worked with a local dealer though. The logistics of buying from a dealer that is not in my state seems more of a headache than it is worth. The one thing I am still nervous about though is the redelivery. I have told my CA that I don't want them to touch the car once it arrives as I am taking it straight to Metropolitan Detail and he agreed that they would not do anything. Hopefully that holds true.

Their GM was worried as I was taking delivery of a filthy car and wanted to make sure that everything was done to my expectations. This picture was taken after it got off the truck, went in for a safety check and was driven to that spot by a mechanic as we were doing licensing paper work. At the time it was the very 1st Competition Pack M3 delivered in WA State.

Both Bellevue and Seattle refused to do an ED for me - this was in August 2014. Had an absolutely awesome experience with BMW Northwest in Tacoma. I worked with Jimmy Barber, and everything was done electronically except for the paperwork signing (right before the trip) and picking up the car.
They even took good care of me when it was discovered the car I had ordered was configured wrong - literally two weeks before I was to take delivery in Munich! They ordered a second car, arranged everything with BMW to make sure the trip was still on, and handled a mess of paperwork. In the end it worked out perfectly, and some lucky soul in the area got an SO M3 that is "almost" the twin of mine. Would recommend them to anyone in a heartbeat! -X- |

I just signed paperwork for my Nov 30 ED with BMW Seattle last night. Karl Enemark is one of their M car specialist and totally kicks ass, knows his stuff, and got me a great deal. They also do tons of individual cars and work with you to get what you want from BMWNA.
I tried Bellevue and got "we don't like doing ED, and there's no discount". Plus, I've used them for service and they always tried to get me to do paid things, while I was on warranty, and also denied brake warranty service because I had track outline stickers on my window. "You obvioulsy track it" It was an easy choice for me. |

You are the 1st person I know who got an ED car out of Seattle for a "great" deal. Yes, their service department is awesome and I have been going there over 15 years. At the end of the day it is all about what CA you talk to……one thing I know for sure is that I do not need an "M advisor" to order my car. Just give me a good price and let me deal with the rest I will be ordering an individual M4 and won't mind talking to Karl if he is on ED invoice + dealer profit basis…but this is Seattle and people think that it is a good deal when they get $500 off of MSRP.

David Pad from BMW Portland gives the best deals. Always beats Seattle, Bellevue and NW when it comes to pricing. I've got two cars from him, and along with my friends we have bought close to 30 cars from him. Just tell him TJ referred you and he'll give you the best ED price.

Nobodies mentioned BMW NorthWest. Are they any good? Think they are in Fife?

Seattle BMW seems to be low key or at least when I came in. They were nice, said hello and waited for me to look like I wanted help. Fife, they were pretty busy but still very attentive. The service there was great except when I needed a warranty part replaced that they didn't have, they never called me when they got it in. Very minor. people were awesome. Some cool special order cars there too.
I have had my cars service at Bellevue for long time over many cars. I bought my m4 with them. Dave S. is easy going. Those guys in the service and parts have been very professional and 5 star. That's why I bought from them. They also had quick allocation, helped me with questions with BMW VIP, got all the Mperf parts on time, installed quick and my car arrived early and was ready early. I don't know about attitude, everywhere I go in Bellevue there is attitude. Have you been to the mall. Jebus!. While I did have to wait a bit longer than I had hoped for the finance guy and it was tight getting the tires on the car before discount closed, the sales guy took initiative to take care of discount for me (drove there, waited to for the tires to be mounted, wheels swapped). The finance "guy" I chatted with was fine. He gave me the whole rundown because I was curious. I rejected everything and he politely asked why I didn't get the extended maintenance. I said because the anticipated maintenance was less than you are asking me to pay up front and sit in your bank account for 4 years instead of mine. He appreciated the honesty. Took 20 minutes but maybe it was quick because I didn't lease. You have 3 local options for ED. I'd talk to all 3. At least 2.

These guys locally don't work with you at all. I got fed up and worked with Schomp BMW in Colorado and got a great deal. Pretty much MS discount that people get here. If you need an introduction let me know and I can set you up with my CA. only bad part is that you have to pay shipping from CO but it was still cheaper than the local guys

Guys shop out of state. Even a year ago there were no over invoice prices and with an ed deals were excellent. Seattle area sucks.

Roughly a 1000. For shipping. Before rebates $1500 over invoice. No dealer handling fees

If so, why didn't the Colorado dealer do a courtesy delivery to one of the dealers in our area?
