Engine temperature & Servicing Question

Is there any way to check engine temperature and things like that for the 228i?

Only details i can find through iDrive is engine oil check etc ha :/

-Also when you first start your car and it says (SERVICE 13,000KMS) When im at like 8,000kms is that a reminder for a service in 13,000kms or AT 13,000kms?

The secret BC menu.

Add up the last 7 digits of your Vin number.

Power up your car (engine on or accessory mode). Hold the mileage reset button. Select unlock. Enter the number you added up. Find Temps.

Press mileage reset on dash screen ( not direction signal stalk) as same time holding START/STOP ignition button.

Huh. Strange. Ive routinely accessed the menu using different methods.

1 Engine on at idle and even while driving, press and hold.

2 Pressing and holding while starting the car.

3 And you might be able to get it after turning the car to accessory mode (engine off) and then pressing and holding. But I'm not 100% like the first two.

Try those and see if it works.

Only one button so you have to do everything with that. Short press to move through the menu. Long press to enter into a sub menu. Long press again to go back to the main menu.
