Expiring Connected Drive services
Just realised that my Connected Drive services expire on 31/10/15 according to www.bmw-connecteddrive.co.uk
I've not had any notification of this from BMW. Aren't they supposed to contact you beforehand to try and screw more money out of you? Also, when it expires what exactly do you lose? I'm not bothered about internet as it's cr*p and I never use it, but will I also lose traffic info and other things? |

I had the same last month. I received notification via email. I lost the internet, bmw online (news, weather, pics of destination etc....) and the real time traffic so no "traffic situation on map" avail. I do still get the basic traffic when going to the sat nav and it still rerouted me yesterday off the M6 when returning home from the lakes. Also I cannot use the BMW mobile app controls now (location on map, lights, horn etc.....). The only thing a did use was the ventilation function.
As for renewing, if you log into bmw connected drive, you will see your subscriptions there. They have two options now and can be purchased for 6 or 12 months but they are not cheap for what you get. Not bothered renewing mine, think its a bit cheeky to charge what they do when you've already added and paid for the options on a premium car. |
