Is this seller telling the truth about the parts he's selling?

I'm looking to replace an injector when I ran across this ad:

I tell the seller that regardless of what the boxes are labeled, the injector itself is labeled with an older model number:

Latest: 13538616079 <--sticker on the box for the injectors
Previous: 13537585261 <--label on the actual injectors

He insists that I don't know what I'm talking about and that even the new ones are 13537585261 index 12. His ad has part numbers for both the latest and previous.

His reply:
They ARE 13538616079 index 12 injectors. You obviously do not know your BMW parts. Check other eBay listings and the dealer. While the number printed on the injectors don't reflect the same number on the box, these are indeed the parts I have listed.

Can it be that it has 13537585261-12 stamped on the injector but is in fact the new style?

the 12 stamped on the injector means they are index 12. those are the new parts

Whatever is stamped on the actual injector is what part it is. The box is irrelevant.

That's what I thought too. He seems to disagree and the guy above seems to be saying that any 12 should be the latest...so confused.

So then they're technically not the newest ones out. I have 13538616079-11's in my car, so are they newer than this one I'm looking to buy?

The one on Ebay are newer than your current injectors but they are not the newest ones

These injectors don't appear to be labeled. Where do I find code to enter INPA? How do I know which version I'm buying with these being blank?

They will be on the injector.

The numbers are on the other side of the injector.

When you order them, indicate they all need to be index 12. We have seen one batch which were not all index 12, but they are good about giving an RMA for the parts if they are not right. So far I think CWARREN has picked up 4 or 5 sets from them and they have all been index 12's.

I can also vouch for the Rock.Auto injectors, replaced one bank and they have been running flawlessly for 6 months now. All were Index-12 Injectors as well.

When I ordered mine they said that they do not have the ability to ensure that they are a specific index. Luckily all 6 of mine were -12. If I had gotten anything else I would have sent them back as well.
