My work colleagues mother in law picked up her new Aston Martin Bond edition today that is in the film. Think it is a DB9 GT

I read that he was doing another one?

Will go watch this at the weekend hopefully. Didn't over enjoy the last one so fingers crossed, this does look loads better.

The interview he did with Chris Evans seemed to suggest he was in for another one.

The Bond Edition is a warmed over DB9. The car in the film is something else altogether.

Finally got around to seeing this today. I had low expectations as the trailers just looked typical Bond.

But we loved it, a brilliant movie and far better than I'd thought it would be.

It kind of linked in with all the recent films, and put a natural end to the whole franchise.
Therefore I predict that there will be no more Bond films. Sad but there you go...

Have to say i thought that whilst some parts were great, overall it was a little disappointing. Perhaps I let my own expectations get too high with the hype!
I though the opening was amazing though!
The amount of amazing clothing changes Bond had were amusing... The clothing and accessories product placement were a bit OTT.

More of an issue for me is Christoph Waltz playing the same character as ever, but seeming ever more like Rob Brydon! Hard to believe as international criminal genius....

And I'm afraid the whole end section seemed more a bit TV movie or even worse, an episode of Spooks. A feeling not improved by Andrew Scott playing much the same character as he does as Moriarty in Sherlock.

I did like the humour and jokes, and some action set pieces are fantastic, just joined together by a fairly non-sensical story.

Overall it think Daniel Craig's Bond films have had so many amazing scenes, but I just don't there's one entire great film.

I thought it was lacking the edginess of casino royale, and I couldn't wait to get out.

No wonder he doesn't want to do another, there getting worse

Certainly not the best. Too much emphasis is put on the special etfects and stunts nowadays, they need more defined plots. Maybe I am getting old but they are just too complicated recently.

Yes I'd agree with that. It seems like they think what set piece action scenes they want, then which countries they want, then what product placements they want.... Then cobble it together best they can as a narrative.

The trouble with the Bond fims with Danial Craig for me is that the plots are just as improbable as before, but the films now take themselves too seriously. There is some humour, but they also attempt to be deep and moving, and they fail. I prefer the Pierce Brosnan approach where humour is an integral part - the audience are in on the joke. Bonds are so far-fetched that you're not really meant to take them seriously.

Time for a new lighter Bond...
