Winterset M2

Yesterday I signed an order for the M2. Delivery 03-20-2016
Does anyone knows what should be the best sizes for a winterset? Although winter should be almost gone at that time. But for the winter after. Anyway enough time to find a solution.

Thought nobody anywhere was getting the car before April 16, 2016?

The answer to this always depends on your expected use, driver style, and how much snow and ice you'll see. Can't really help without that info. But besides that, a March 20 delivery sounds quite early even for Europe.

Artemis AFAIK you are living in Belgium too and ordered even before the thread opener...so why do you get your M2 so late?

I signed my M2 order on October 16, 2015 and got an order number in the meantime. A production date will be assigned later.

According to my information, M2 deliveries to customers starts from April 16, 2016 onwards. Currently it's too early to know production and delivery dates for customer M2s. So all production and delivery dates are inevitably provisional at the moment. As regards my order, it's actually more accurate to state "Spring 2016".

Earlier dates than April 16, 2016 = HEA M2s (Handler-Erst-Ausstattung) = dealer demo M2s. Some customers may have made a deal with a dealer to adopt a dealer demo M2 (see for example Belgian forum fellow Riky here).

Mine is a customer car, not an adopted dealer demo.

It's possible to get it even in February, but it really depends how good is your dealer communicating with the people in BMW central.

I was offered if I want to get the February delivery, and I told them there is no point as It's probably be winter here.

I got estimate to get my M2 delivered by 16 March, and they insured me it will be much earlier.

I would guess that the winter fitment would be similar to that of the E92 and F82. We've been doing 9.5 ET22.

Good to know, thank you. I'll take a look on the EU-VMR site.

Well I would be quite careful, since you can configure the M2 with a 12" width ET45 rim.....

If I understood correctly, BWM will offer a set of 640m 8,5" front and 9" rear with 245/40R18 TS830 (10mm narrower than the M3/M4 set).

Anybody know the wheel weight of the 640m?

They are flow-formed so they are quite light. I haven't seen anyone put them on a scale though but I guess low 20's.
