Bone stock on stage 1 sport? On cobb v3

Quick question got 2008 335i all stock live in CA tuning with Cobb v3. I should be running ST stage 1 sport right? I know I cant run the aggressive since CA have 91 octane only. Will be installing vrsf 5" step fmic soon and that will be stage 1 +fmic I believe. By the way i bought the cobb v3 used it came with everything except the booklet or manuel but searched on here for the install info.

Did more reading i think 91 octane is for stage 1 sport but since im in CA ACN 91 octane i need to be stage 1 drive instead of sport. Correct me if i am wrong guys. Thanks. Car seems to run fine on sport from the test drive but i wants whats most reliable and best for the car.

You should be fine running stage 1 sport, seems like plenty of people in cali are running it successfully on 91. Watch your engine temps and do some logs to make sure everything is in check.

You can see how your car is accepting the map by running a datalog of both and take a look. Post to datazap.me if you don't know what you're looking at.

3rd gear run, wide open throttle from 2500 RPM to 6000 RPM. If you can shift into 4th even better.

+1

Logging is always the answer as each car is different and it depends on quality of gas, ambient temp, state of tune of the car, etc.

AZ has the same ACN91 craptane. I ran sport for a long time, it is perfectly fine. You should really have someone do an etune for you though. That is the best way to know for sure.

Hey OP, in case you're wondering about "ST" vs. "LT" settings, those simply adjust your throttle response. "ST" mimics the Stock Throttle response which dials in more throttle sooner and "LT" gives a Linear Throttle response throughout the entire pedal travel.
