335D Engine issues

Hi guys,

Since the beginning of this year, I own a 335D (F30). Until now some known issues, but since a few weeks, the engine shows some strange behaviour. There is a high sound coming from the engine which was not present before. In addition, when I want to accelerate, the engine hesitates (feels like EGR problem). In addition, fuel consumption raised with 0.5-1l (same driving style). Does anyone know what this could be? Or experienced same problems? Next week, the car will be checked by the dealer but mostly, they will say that there is no problem ... Thank you for your help!

Grtz

Frank

Lol Oceanview. Anyway, the dealer has performed a software update, and replaced the air filter by an another type. No issues any more

Can you detail a bit the diagnostic process?
I'd curious to know.

i just described it in on another guys post in this section that has also performance issues here http://f30.bimmerpost.com/forums/sho....php?t=1193135, where i described it a bit.

basically, i had a vacuum leaks due to the red intercooler plastic pipe that was lose and leaking and lost power, was told by bmw service it's ok, but i knew it isn't as it had a lag that was not there before, but since it was only about 20-30% power loss it wasn't significant to notice for somebody who wasn't looking for it, so the serviceman in bmw dealership told me there is nothing wrong with the car and it drives as it should, but obviously it wasn't. i took it to the independent bmw specialists that took it apart in front of me and the charger pipe had a small hole from the constant friction with another pipe, and the leak was behind the sensor, so diagnostic never showed any problem, yet the car had one. so i would not rely on bmw mechanics because many times they only tell u what diagnostic soft tells them....
vacuum is very fragile thing, many people have issues with small vacuum hoses and actuators, but also with other pipes on these pics: i had issues with pipes number 1 and 7 on the second pic
