BMW production status tracking down

Just FYI, the BMW production tracking system is down. BMW genius and NA said the tracking system has been down for about a day and they are working on fixing it with no ETA. I do get a response from the automated system but it has been stuck at 190 (in route to port of exit) for 5 days so I question it's accuracy given the above.

Thanks for the update. It was the same for me until this morning (10 days after the production ended) when it switched to "awaiting shipping vessel". Did the person give you more up to date status or are they using the same system?

Maybe my post wasn't clear. The tracking system BMW genius and NA agents (also your dealer) use has been down for 2 days now. They can not give any updates at present. They do not know when it will be up. That system gives more detail and is more up to date than the automated phone system. The phone system does give a status (for me 190), but I don't know if it's getting updated as it should at present.

that's good to hear, so maybe mine could have gotten on a ship too....finished production the 15th and its been at en route to port since the 15th....was hoping it made it on the 20th ship.

edit: just got an email from my CA...arrived at port but no shipping vessel assigned yet so it didnt get on the boat today....looks like the next boat to CA is 11/1

Mine finished on the 15th too. I'm on the east coast (at least that's where mine comes in) so more opportunities to get on a boat. I'm hoping for tomorrow but I guess you never know. It seem some people sit at port for many days.

BMW production status finally back up today. Mine has been at port since the 20th waiting for a ship to Baltimore. Nothing assigned yet. Next I see is a k-line on the 25th so hoping to get on that one.

Just in case someone else stumbles in here...site still broken. Calls to dealer or automated phone confirm our new F36 is on a boat meanwhile website says its just started production. Dumb.

Can confirm!

Ordered my 340ix on Nov 2, production completed on Nov 11, and its been at the port awaiting vessel assignment since Nov 12. BMWNA phone system and geniuses have very current info.... bmwusa.com still says "Start - Order Documented" and my build has wrong info.

Its gotta be in production already. My car went into production the day after the dealer entered the order.

who knows, maybe my dealer sat on it for week or two but i finally have production number but can't add it yet on mybmw.

It all depends on when the allocation the dealer has is scheduled for production. Could be days or weeks away from the actual order.

The site is still down ughhhh. Soooo Frustrating!! How can't they figure out what is wrong?? I called and it's been almost a month and the only thing they can tell me is that it is still in production. And that they have been having issues with the site..
