Sports package and high speed synchronisation, but no oil cooler
I ran a decoder on the car I bought recently and these were the options - basically everything except nav, comfort access, and the oil cooler?
Can anyone help explain WHY it didn't come with the oil cooler if it has the sport package, and high speed sync? 1CA SELECTION COP RELEVANT VEHICLES 2AB ALLOY WHEELS ELLIPSOID 162/MISCHB 2XA SPORTS LEATH.STEERING WHEEL+GEAR 205 AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION 226 SPORTS SUSPENSION SETTINGS 4AC FINE-WOOD TRIM POPLAR GRAIN 403 GLAS ROOF, ELECTRIC 441 SMOKERS PACKAGE 459 SEAT ADJUSTM., ELECTR. The trunk and lights will fit but I don't know about the wiring. Might be plug and play might not. Try doing a search I remember seeing something about it a couple years ago.

switch over to oil cooler was build 03/07 if I recall. I think there used to be a retrofit kit available in the US. My car was 04/07 build so I managed to get the cooler and a few other changes that happened by that time.

Afaik speed rated tires on 18's and sport package were all you needed for the oil cooler, but you needed both. I also heard 6mt cars had it from the beginning with those options and later 2007 autos then got it as well, due mostly to part availability.

Did you buy it used? 06 to early 07 builds did not come out of the factory with an oil cooler. HOWEVER it was a performance option at the time. After they realized they made a crucial mistake the oil cooler became standard mid/late 07 builds.

yeah since you have a late 06 with oil cooler most likely the previous owner purchased the performance option or just installed the oil cooler only.
