Decel Wastegate Rattle

I am starting to notice a little wastegate rattle when I am in nuetral and rev the car to about 4k while stopped, only when the revs are coming back down.. I am also planning on buying a cobb tune or JB4 soon, will either tune help get rid of the little rattle I have, or can any pro tuner for Cobb tune it out?

Thanks!

I would start by checking all the vacuum lines (cracks, split lines) in the engine bay and check the WG solenoids.
The JB4 has a setting that can help remove the rattle, but it only helps so much. If your rattle continues you can tighten the rear WG by hand (front WG is impossible to reach).

I would take it in to the dealership to get it fix before I start modding. Cover under warranty for 8years or 82000 miles i believe.

Unfortunately already past the warranty. I guess what im trying to ask is what have people done with minor rattle only when the revs are coming down and foot is off the gas after revving the engine? It doesnt do it under load and doesnt rattle at all when revving the engine up...

Jb4 helps a lot. I have 130,000 miles on my turbos and they sound like rattle snakes inside of coffee cans full of pennies without the jb4. Worst on decel foot off the gas. Jb4 setting "future use D= 98 totally fixed that. I already have replacement turbos but these are still boosting with no smoke so I'm not in a huge rush. No Cobb. Go MHD if going flash only. Jb4 is worth it though.

I just tightened the waste gate actuator. It's super easy. Noise goes away.

How many turns did you tighten? I can't remember from the DIY but do you push towards driver side to tighten or towards passenger side?

If I remember correctly you turn it counterclockwise. Towards the passengers side tire.
