Battery is dead! Left lights on
Options? Can I just get a jump? Have a friend en route at the moment and cables in hand. Thanks guys!

Posted in the New England forum. Yes, terminals in engine bay.

Yes, that's what I had to do when my battery died last week.. Just used the terminals in the engine bay and even with my battery disconnected it still gave me enough juice from a jump to open my doors and trunk..

You can connect the clamps directly to the terminals/posts inside the engine. There's no need to put the negative clamp on a ground.
If you're using your car to jump another one, you also clamp directly to your engine's terminals/posts. I did this recently when jumping my wife's Toyota. Last edited by limitdown; 10-18-2015 at 08:56 AM.. |
