Winter tires and long range driving

I drive ~260 miles commuting one way to work at the beginning of the week and then ~260 miles back at the end of the week. Broken down it's a 120 mile of interstate @ 75mph, then 40 miles 2 lane @ 60mph, back on interstate @ 75mph, then serious amount of congestion for the rest.

Would this cause a problem for winter tires? Looking at the new Continental WinterContact SI.

Depends on temperature. Think 40 and below should be finr else will wear too much. Is it h or v rated?

No worries. Especially if in cooler temps.

You will be fine. I drove from Detroit to Chicago and back on my blizzaks one year in the dead of winter.

I head up to the mountains nearly every weekend Jan-Mar on my winters, which is 200+ miles round trip depending on where I go, and have never had an issue.
