noise from front wheels

Has anyone noticed a clicking noise from the front wheels? Most noticeable when inside carparks and turning... I notice it every day going to work which is the most annoying thing. Initially thought it was a nail, but checked everything and it all looks good.

Has been into the dealers 5 separate times with no real solution. Replaced the brake pads/discs, front wheel bearings, and cleaned/greased all components. Seems to temporarily fix the problem, only to resurface within a few days.

Beginning to get very annoyed with this as they can't seem to fix this. Dealer and BMW Australia have been extremely unhelpful.

M235i 2014 model. Noticed after 1-2 months... Car is at 7 months now and about 8000kms.

Any ideas?

Cheers Dave

Seems like this is a common issue so you would think BMW Oz would know about it. The 'fix' has been everything from re torquing wheel lugs (go figure...) to replacing wheel bearings. And this. http://www.2addicts.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1130937

To me it sounds like it could be brake pads vibrating, loose but I am assuming this has been checked by others and discounted already.

Have you taken it to get it checked? It is a very obvious click and more pronounced on turning...

Yeah thanks, I have read a few people on here with similar issues... no one seems to have definitively fixed the issue.

The noise is loud and a real problem. I have spoken to BMW Aus and they are getting in contact with research and development... to see if they can make new parts to fix it wtf?!!!

Frankly, I've just about had enough as this annoys the sh!t out of me every single day especially when they have given me loaner 1/2/3 series with no noise at all.

No noise from mine, but I hope you find a fix. This is like that front brake squeal that never goes away.

I recall it was resolved after having the wheels off for new tyres. I've also read somewhere that someone else fixed theirs by re-torquing the wheel bolts.

This thread talks about the same problems, one of them resolved it by retorquing as dtcoff mentioned.

I took notice whilst driving through a carpark today and mine is fine now. I assume that the wheels were removed for inspection during my service last week.

Hey mate haven't had a chance to test the torque wrench theory. I'll give it a go, but it doesn't really sound like a loose bolt to me.

This is the closest thing to what I have:

You can spend hundreds on a torque wrench but Repco sell one for about 80 bucks. Cheap and easy way to check this possible cause.
