On the actual story....
If anything this story just makes Ashcroft look like a spineless and bitter old toff, and Cameron as someone who was vaguely normal as a high spirited youth. That he never gave a Ashcroft a job is actually a good thing that may actually make him look better.

I think I posted this before, however.
This female Australian Flight Lieutenant, was tasked with organising a Squadron Summer Barbecue - this was also her Leaving Do.... She set about getting everything sorted, music, bar, food - including a Hog Roast. Anyhow, she was advised to make sure she publicised the event and that it was her Leaving Do. So she emailed all Squadron personnel and some other station personne. She also made a poster which she placed all around camp, Messes, NAAFI, Familys' Club etc etc. A couple days later her Boss asked her to come to his Office. Where he asked her if she knew what a Spit Roast was.... She replied (in her cheery Aussie accent, sure it's another name for a hog roast... The Boss then casually explained what it also meant.... She went rather red... Her Poster Read ' Come to Clare's Spit Roast Event, Sunday xxx' Or similar lol  |

Which reminds me of an aussie ex boss of mine when I was 20.
We were out at a works get-together and he told me his daughter was comming over and needed someone her age to hang out with while she was here. Sure i said, whats she into? to which he replied she'll be right up your street; she drives a V8 and drinks piss! At which point the beer i was currently drinking went all over the floor. It was then duly explained that she did not have some weird fetish, but that in OZ they call lager, piss! |
