Final spec on Monday help please

Hello all,

Well, I've pondered over the decision for the last few weeks of 535d or 335d touring and I've gone with the 335. Bottom line was, I'd lose too much on the 5 series.

So, going in for final spec on Monday and I have a couple of questions. I've ticked most boxes, Ms plus with adaptive led's, media pack, adaptive drive, pano roof, memory heated seats, HUD, armrest (why is this an option?), storage/comfort pack, reversing cam, speed display, black dash, folding mirrors.

Is there anything else I really should add and I've gone for the leather dash, car is Tanz blue and oyster, is the leather dash worth it?

Not bothered over EBT, mostly have R4 on and it seems I can code it at a later date. Already looking at ACS option, which seems mad before I've even ordered the car.

I spend a lot of time in the car, 20k PA, so looking for a nice place to spend it in. Thoughts and thanks for looking.

The armrest option is for the sliding version, there is an armrest as standard fitment. I would add the sports automatic transmission for £140 which adds paddle shifters to the wheel and speeds up the change a bit

Sorry, yes gone for the sports auto paddles. Armrest that makes sense, thought it was odd.

Nice spec! I'd consider surround view, handy for protecting those alloys!

For the little amount extra, i would get EBT, good for streaming audio. I wouldnt want to faff with coding on a brand new car.

I also really like comfort access, especially with the neat boot feature on the touring

Ok so what does surround view actually do. Is it side mounted downward looking cameras? In an E class at the moment and it's the first time I've had a car where I've ruined the alloys, which are a PIA diamond cuts, so that may be worth looking at.

Heated steering wheel, my word first world problems. But you're right though, other half is still giving me pain over not speccing cup holders on her Z4!

Leather dash is worth it.

Consider a tow are if you into cycling or want a run to the tip with a trailer.

Otherwise the spec looks good to go.

Blue tooth audio streaming with cover art is standard on the LCI, no need for EBT to get it

Oh and think about the interior trim. It is a no cost option to change the estoril blue strip for piano black which I think looks a lot better, you can also change out the hexagon trim for brushed aluminium if like me you're not keen on the hexagon trim, again zero cost

I would double check about the EBT, I believe it brings 4G sim in to play.

You need the 4G sim for OTA mapping.

Not 100% so best to check.

Bearing in mind that when I submitted my final spec it changed about six times in the following weeks!

EBT does bring 4G, without EBT it is 3G, but OTA updates of maps still works, mine updated a couple of weeks ago

Cool, that's good then, there was a bit of a rumour that 4G was required.
