Good Automotive Jack and Stands
Any recommendations for a good jack and set of jack stands? I'm in the market for a new jack because my current on won't fit under my 2 series.
Thanks,

Chk out these sites:
http://www.reverselogic.us/phone/index.html http://www.brunnhoelzl.com/warrior_jacks.html I use an Arcan garage floor jack 3 ton from Costco. I have a pair of A/C jacks stands - also use a jack pad tool to save the rubber lift points on the car - for everything other then brake and suspension I prefer ramps. |

Heard nothing but great things about the Arcan low profile, will likely pick one up when I get ready to do the post-break-in oil/transmission/diff fluid changes

Thanks for the replies! (I probably should have posted this in the DYI section...)
I've had mixed luck with Harbor Freight stuff but I like the idea of an aluminium jack. http://www.amazon.com/Arcan-ALJ2T-Al...dp/B00132CGEW/

I have the HF 3-ton aluminum jack and I love it. The high lift came in super duper handy when I had to drop the tranny out of the M3 (twice because I'm an idiot).
Haven't figured out a good jack stand solution for the 228i yet, though. |
