I was about to say, range rover rear and looks like some essence of the traditional M side front fender. This one doesn't look that bad though..

damn, looks good

black out the chrome areas in the grill, side vents, door sills (better if paint matched with the mesh parts),1" drop, tint and it'll look aggressive as hell

Lower side grills look so familiar.....where have we seen these before?

We've now seen the Frankenstein's monster of cars. Ford top grills, M sport bottom grills, body of a prior generation Lexus CT, Range Rover rear lights, X Line's rear bumper, Lexus RX hatch.....

Looks a lot like the Evoque from behind. I would have liked to see the bigger 3L diesel.

Makes me appreciate my choice even more. Here is the way i look at it. If this car gets de-badged, how could one tell what is it? If all volvo emblems are removed from new XC90, that would be the same result. No personality. Flashy.
However ones one strips all BMW badges from X5, everyone will still be able to tell what is it. Personality...

Looks good but I'd like see the normal-folk version to get a better idea.

BMW has the two key signature designs that has been around for a long long time that everyone can see and recognize..

Kidney grills and double halo headlights.

Most other car makers can't say that

Not just that. LOL, but Pontiac also had double kidneys...)))) There are few other very distinctive shape lines and trends in every BMW. Also, imagine someone blindfolds you and puts in BMW ( any bmw) without BMW logo inside. You will recognize it right away. Cant say it about much of other cars.

True on the pontiac, but there is no denying when you show the kidney grills with the double headlights with angel eyes its unmistakable BMW.

The front section of a BMW displays typical features that clearly identify it as a BMW. A distinctive design unit is formed by the kidney-shaped grille with the centrally positioned emblem above and the twin headlights on either side. The double-round headlights are slightly cut-off at the top thus ensuring a focused view onto the road.
