Planning on ordering M3

Hello everyone,

I'm a noob on this forum (coming from Audi). I'm about to trigger on the '16 M3.

Which BMW dealership would you recommend for smooth sales transaction (w/ good discounts)?

I have been talking to a sales person from Sterling BMW but, we actually have not talked about the detail numbers yet. Any experiences?

Any recommendations will be appreciated.

Thanks!

Feel free to pass any good info my way as well. I'm in NOVA and it's getting close to time for me to place my order as well. Thanks.

Eff that place. I gave them an offer of $1000 above invoice and they said "I was insulting the brand". I got up and walked.

Their service suck ass also.

I had a similar experience with Passport. They told me, in no uncertain terms that they will not sell an M3 anywhere near invoice. They had me on speaker and you can hear others laughing in the background. The DC market is far too competitive to be treating prospective clients that way. I was absolutely disgusted with how they were acting. Oh well f*** em...I took my hard earned money elsewhere.

Same experience and I ALMOST believed that you have to pay full sticker price for M . did some research and shopped around and finally landed amazing dead at SS.

It looks like your experience at dealership varies vastly on who you interacted with. Silver Spring raised MF rate on a 2015 car and used a higher than MSRP when doing my lease quote. Passport gave my $500 over invoice right off the bat without any games. They were very going to their approach with me too.

yup, SS did raised MF at .0029 and told me that was current rate so I ended up purchasing. lease isn't worth if it was that high.

I just ordered an m3 from John Kim at northwest. Reasonable deal and good value on my 335 trade in. Definitely had allocation. Nearby for me and I didn't feel like driving all over. Pretty straightforward dealer relatively speaking.

I went to a local dealer last night to get a price on '16 M3, they offered me $86,000 (includes all the fees and Tax) out the door which I declined. I did not think that It was a good deal at all.

Mineral Grey
6MT
Full Merino leather
Driver Assist Pkg
Executive Pkg
Lighting Pkg
19" Black Light-Alloy
Adaptive M-Suspension
Enhanced USB and Blutooth
Power Rear sunshade
Parking assistance
Side and top view camera
M performance Exhaust with Carbon Fiber Tips
Black kidney grille
Carbon Fiber side mirror cover

(I wanted to have all the M performance items but, they told me that most of M performance items are blocked by the BMW except listed above. Whatever that means.... Hmmmmmm)

FWIW, like a previous poster said, I think it depends on who you work with at each stealership. I just (11/18) paid $1000 over invoice, before incentives ($1500 under with) at Passport.

This is true. I ordered in mid October at Passport and got 5K$ discount including 1500$ incentive.

All depends on who you talk to and your relationship with the dealer.

Bimmer-M3 and chillindude are both right. The Passport BMW staff is ghetto as hell. Horrible customer service and con artists... That entire dealership is "an insult to the brand." Stay clear of them big as many others stated. I ordered my AY 6-spd AY from BMW of Silver Spring and recieved the best discount from them. Great customer service too... they sell the most M cars in the DC area bar none. Good luck
