CD/DVD Music

Evening,

Just wondering if anybody knows if the bmw cd drive will read dvds (for music)?

Trying to find a way to get more music on a disc!

Thanks

No, I don't think it will. To get more music on a disc, use as MP3

I think you have to 'export' then from iTunes, but in theory, yes.

Great, thanks. Had a play. The car will pay m4a files, but not m4p files.

Use some freeware to extract the music on your phone to your PC and burn this onto a disk. You should be able to get something that extracts/converts the files to MP3.

However, instead of burning, I would suggest you stick all your files on a USB drive and plug that into your car. That will allow you to access music in the car and it's far easier to change (remove/add/sort) the files on a USB drive than burn a DVD/CD.

Thank you. I always keep my iPhone cable plugged in so was trying to play around with a cd. Looks like the BMW will read a data cd with m4a files so you can cram loads on rather than just being limited to the standard 80mins music cd
