Rear Brake Upgrade/Conversion Pros/Cons?
I have an opportunity to get some Porsche OEM Brembo rear calipers for a stupid good price. They are 4 piston (mine stock are 2 piston). The conversion kit is designed for an E46 M3 Details Here
Questions I have are 1) Will these fit a 2015 M235i (F22) ? 2) Even if they did fit is there any benefit ? Thanks

Benefit:
Have to custom make a mount, try to find rotors that fit. Pay Porsche consumable pricing. Honestly the only benefit you will see is totally messing up the brake bias. Car will drive like a trailer brake dragging from the rear. You would also need to do the fronts to 6 pod to make the system work. There are some kits out there with floating rotors 6 pod font 4 rear. But they are prob 4-5k. I cant see much of an advantage as the brakes on this car with race pads are great. Spend the money on track days driving. |

Thanks for the input. Needed to ask cause the price I was offered is phenomenal. Practically free. I had googled the brake bias to see what the effects were. Played enough gran turismo to guess there might be some effect. And without a bias controller i can see how it might be a pain.

Don't see why this would be worth a cent of your money to try to retrofit.
The rear brakes do very little work compared to the fronts, and the M already has very capable stoppers, which can be made more capable with a high temp fluid or more aggressive pad. So other than filling out the wheel well with a mismatched caliper there is zero point to this. If you are unhappy with your brake performance there are steps you can take, if you're trying to modify a complex piece of engineering based on a good deal from a friends leftover parts...then beware.
