BMS Intake with extra replacement filter!

$175 shipped overnight to anywhere in the 48 US States.

Selling BMS Intake because going back to stock for now.

Have less than 1,000 miles on the filter installed now (still blue in color) and about 8,000 miles on the extra filter (needs cleaning).

I have an extra performance filter with it which just needs cleaning and can go back on. This eliminates the hassle of not being able to drive the car when you are cleaning the filter, just throw the extra one on!

To make a short story long...I took it out to clean the filter and replaced it with the stock box. Oddly enjoyed not hearing the turbo spooling and "BOV" noise, and just hearing the exhaust. Got lazy and bought a new filter from BMS, put BMS intake back in and preferred the stock exhaust only noises coming from the car.

Inside parking garages or tunnels I do miss the turbo noise, but will just be sticking with stock air box for now.

Ok, thanks for the honest answer. I am considering trying it out but am worried about smoothness and drivability issues that others have experienced.

With the BMS intake I never experienced smoothness or drivability issues, but sometimes on semi-cold starts I would get a very awkward and rough idle where the car almost wanted to stall out. This would only happen 1 out of every 20 or so starts.

This cold start issue is common with anyone you talk to with a BMS intake. I'm assuming the improved airflow makes the car want to run lean right at startup?

Hm, interesting. I actually already experienced this the other day after installing a piggyback tune, on maybe the 3rd or 4th start up.

Yeah who knows really what it is. Could be a ton of things.

Maybe it's the tune looking for more airflow, tune not controlling fuel pump, or a billion other things.

The intake could even not be the culprit.

Either way this should be a good deal with the two filters for anyone looking.
