Sold FS near Harrisburg, PA: 2007 328xi Sportwagon / E91 - 80K miles - Auto/Non-sport
Greetings! I am looking to sell my E91, as much as it pains me. It's a wonderful car - I've owned it for three years, since August 2012. Had 48K miles on it at the time, and now has 80K. Used for commuting to work, and a couple of road trips. NEVER smoked in. 92+ octane fuel, every time. - Silver / Grey interior - Automatic - Non-sport - Heated seats - Moonroof - Professional radio with Sirius - Headlight washers PA inspection/emissions stickers good until July 2016. Only two problems have occurred with this car, of note: - Right-front window lock actuator stopped working. Then started again, on its own. Then stopped again....then started again. It's been good for about a year. I did buy a replacement from ECS when it first happened, brand new in the box. Goes with the car. - A few weeks ago, I got a CEL "Service Engine Soon" and had a whistling noise from under the hood. This turned out to be a bad PCV valve, integrated into the valve cover. New OEM valve cover installed. One day after I got the car back, another CEL popped up. EDIT 9/9/15: The problem ended up being a faulty valve of some kind, underneath the new valve cover that was installed. Came faulty from BMW, replaced for free by my mechanic under his warranty. CEL gone, fuel trim readings are normal (previously had "bank lean"). Of note: - Winter 2012, a deer ran out in front of me and I just barely hit its back hoof as it darted across. Put a hole in the front bumper cover, and spidered the plastic and paint around the hole. No actual bumper/frame damage. Had the entire bumper cover replaced with OEM by a high-end body shop in York Springs. Rear rotors just replaced in August 2015 by me, they were slightly too thin to pass inspection. Meyle from bavauto.com. Battery replaced about 10 months ago by me, reset with BavarianTechnic cable. Non-AGM model from Advance Auto. Oil change done about 6,000 miles ago, Castrol synthetic of course. Mann filter. Accessories! - Aforementioned Bavarian Technic cable, basic kit. Bought used, second VIN so it should have one to spare. - OEM spare tire kit with storage bag and straps, never used (from ECS). - Euro rear foglight switch - OEM Sport black kidney grille (original grille goes with the car) - Pico tray - Euro sunglass holder (replaces driver's side Oh Jesus handle) - Windows tinted professionally in 2012. Rear side glass, and hatch. Not dark - 50% or so. - OEM rubber floormats, black (car also comes with OEM carpet mats, which I don't use) - Rear cargo mat Car comes with two sets of wheels and tires. OEM 16"s with Michelin X-Ice winter tires, about four seasons old; purchased by previous owner. Aftermarket 17"s (TireRack, purchased by previous owner) with 225/45 Bridgestone RE760, purchased 7/2012 by me. Run typically April-October. Tire pressures kept at OEM, wear is even. I am located 20 miles southwest of Harrisburg near Rt. 15. Will meet within a reasonable distance, if you seem cool enough. Everyone needs a backseat monkey. (Dealership logo is now gone.) Sorry, no photos of the spare tire - I can grab one if you like. EDIT: Gudlukk came to look at the car and loved it, but opted to go with something else. Fair enough. I had the price listed as $14,000/obo, as the car's value was $16,500 in April 2014 (KBB), and just south of $15K by December/January. However, KBB shows the car presently at $12,062 Excellent Condition. I have roughly $1,650 in wheels/accessories in the car on top of what I paid for the car in 2012, but I think that $12,500 firm is fair for the whole package. -S2- Last edited by Siper2; 02-13-2016 at 09:56 PM.. Not at this time. I'll probably end up with another stick shift car, since I drove them for 20 years and miss it, but not until next year. Going to get through the winter with my old Outback, and get something in the spring maybe.
I'll take a look at some photos if you can shoot me a link, just for good measure but......yeah probably not. |

I'll be driving the Bimmer daily until the weather cools off, unless it sells of course. My Outback blew a headgasket last year - rather common on 4-cylinder Subies, but not the H-6 which is what I have. However, it's got 225,000 miles so I can't really fault it. It drives fine but overheats when it's hot out. 328 is at about 80,200 miles as of this morning I believe. |

OEKlM,
FYI, I edited my original post - the issue with the recent CEL was fixed yesterday, car is good now. Some kind of faulty valve or device that came attached to the new valve cover that was replaced. Fixed for free under parts & labor warranty. |
