Smile F30/F31 LCI in your showroom this Saturday 25th

Are you going to get there early and be the first member of the public to sit in the facelift in your showroom? I can't wait!

Make sure you get them to actually point out what F3x IS the LCI one though.

Let's face it, gonna be hard to spot, well unless it's dark with those Chav rear lights on.

I think he did mention once that he often goes in the rear entrance of (the) Jim

Was in my dealers today and they let me see it. Subtle is an understatement - only BMW fans will notice the difference which is great for us pre LCI owners as it won't effect residuals.

Rear lights do look nice when illuminated and I like the white hvac display. Otherwise most of the changes are underneath.

And not all the underneath changes are unique to the LCI like 5 stud struts. I just read a copy of Autocar and it mentions that the test car doesn't drive as well as the previous model quote "has some improving to do before it's even at the dynamic level of its predecessor, never mind back at the top of the class"

Seriously? The Lci has some new lights and a different cup holder. Can't get that excited about it.

Same thoughts here.

I am not considering a 330D (dependant on what happens in the next 3 weeks at work with some unwelcome change possible) and Stratstone leeds send me videos of various that they have in stock.

Now..as much as I would like they LCI model, I cant help think that I may get a stonking deal on a pre LCI model in the next month, but residuals is a factor I am also concerned about, I dont how much the pre LCI will suffer...if any.

Same. Can't think I've ever made a trip to the dealers for an LCI or actually known when one was in the showroom. Be nice to look It over though yeah.

I think we discused this quite a bit on a thread a couple of months back.

I think it pretty much boils down to clever marketing by bmw to more punters into the dealerships.

I just can't imagine too many gasps when they whip off the covers and unveil something that too all intents and purposes is the same car.

Having said all that I guess the majority dont read forums like this and may therefore be suitably impressed.

I thought I knew a fair bit about BMWs before this (maybe I did) but I have learnt a massive amount more since joining it.The knowledge here really is first rate.

To be fair, the LCI may not look to different, but there are big changes under the skin.

"Er but it's the same."

"Yes but look at the lights... They perfectly accentuate the lines and point to the 3 series heritage"

Yes you're right there.

I would like to understand a bit more about the suspension changes and to whether that's made an improvement.

No doubt nick you'll be wanting to put the diesel range through its paces....

Well that was a bit underwhelming! In truth, need to drive back to back to compare.
