Looks like an M235i racing kit that's been added to, I don't like the front, and that real spoiler is just silly, pretty sure the M2 will look a lot better

guys thats an manhart kit. looks great but is it worth the money. i'm only making these comments due to the title of the thread. Slapping a kit on a 235 is very expensive that thats just cosmetic ($15k) then you need wheels ($6k) and suspension $800 springs installed. We are not even into performance yet. I have a 235i and if money was not object i'd probably do this to it understanding i'm throwing money away.

You are never going to recover costs on money you spend on your car. You upgrade it cause it is your hobby and it makes you happy. If you wanted a good hobby that has good appreciation on equipment, go and buy handguns. They appreciate better than most other hobby items. |

the thread is comparing this modified m235i to the M2. 1 comes already packed with goods and the other needs money poured into it. So taking that into consideration i made my comments.
And I somewhat disagree with "you are never going to recover costs" on cosmetics (bodykits/paint/wraps) i can see that being the case. I run aftermarket wheels on my car (Vossens) and I could easily sell them and recover 60%, my dinantronics I can rip off and sell as well, my exhaust also... slapping a 15k kit on my car (not so sure) especially after the m2 comes out. I have some handguns (had no clue they appreciated ) Quote:

This kit, although hideous, is relatively inexpensive at roughly $7k. For more refined wide body options expect to pay around $16k. Check out Tuningwerk in Europe or iND in the states.

I've been in contact with MH over the last couple months and the pictures of the MH WB kit that the OP posted don't really do it justice. The pics in the first post show what the kit would look like if someone purchased it, painted it, and then stuck it on. You can tell by the way the seems are exposed between the WB kit and the factory panels. Below are a few pics showing how it looks when properly installed prior to paint.
FWIW, I can purchase this kit directly from MH for $5,000 being that I am stationed in Germany for the next 2 1/2 years. Add another 3-4K on for paint and installation and your still WAY under the other companies. -Nick Last edited by e46m3to335i; 07-23-2015 at 08:34 AM.. |
