E90 Light Blackout
So after looking at my options and finding no easy way to get rid of the orange side markers on my E90, I decided to take the lights apart and paint them. I have taken apart and painted many lights in in the past, but these were genuinely painful to take apart, as many of you know the sealant does not melt at low temps like others. I ended up cutting the sealant out, and painting the headlights flat black. I was going to put in aftermarket halos, but after considering that I would have to take the headlights back apart should any of the LED's fail, I decided to keep the original halos. One of the reasons I was going to go for aftermarket halos is because you can see it even when it's off since they are solid not clear plastic as the originals. I was pleasantly surprised that the factory halos are also very visible when they are off. Here are some pics, keep in mind I will replace the orange side marker bulbs with clear ones for a cleaner look.

Looks good.
I'd be afraid to bust open my headlights I've tried it before and alot of glue/rubber stays left over on the headlight, and the lense didn't seat properly back in. |

Looks really good. I would just suggest as a finishing touch to complete the look the stealth type bulb's as opposed to the amber to completely eliminate the "egg yolk" effect.

Yup, I have some of the "Chrome" look bulbs on order to eliminate the "egg yolk" effect. |

Any issues with water or condensation getting into the lights?
