Will always buy BMW

:Coming home from school Wednesday night. I am alright, other than a few bruises and bumps. It was a head-on collision with a full size truck going about 60mph.

I am extremely lucky and fortunate to be in the condition that I am. This is a true testament to how safe they make vehicles these days.

I am pretty bummed out about the car, but its time to move on.

I am limiting my next purchase to 30k and I am leaning towards a 2011-2012 335i, or is E92. It has to be blue (montego, lemans) or white. My other options are A5, 2008 M3, and maybe an older Cayman S.

I know that the responses will be overly biased, but I am kind of biased myself

The insurance is currently investigating it, so I can't really post about it, but....

My car did not like braking hard in the rain, and people should NEVER EVER stop to avoid a small animal

Thanks!!! When I went to the tow yard to release the vehicle to my insurance company, an adjuster (not mine) from Allstate saw the car and couldn't believe that I was the person involved.

I really loved my car. I kept the paint in perfect condition and she just rolled over 80,000 miles. It was the smoothest ride I've ever driven (except for those damn pot-holes).

Indeed, you should refrain from discussing the details while the insurances are settling it.

If someone cannot brake when the car in front stops, he is following too closely. Saying that as a generic statement, I hope you would agree or learn something.

Glad to hear you only got minor bruises, that was a close call

You should celebrate being alive, OP. It's a good day, and we are all glad you're ok. Hopefully, the other driver also left without any major injuries or worse.

My g-d.. I'm pleased to see that you're in relatively great shape and most importantly that you're alive!

Best of luck dealing with Insurance and hopefully you'll be back on the road with something even better!

Glad your OK man. I learned a month ago what following too closely at night can do (totaled my 2012 Touareg) but I'll be damned if I didn't get a 335i out of the deal...lol.

Wow thats amazing you are doing so well after seeing the condition the car is in. Make sure you get checked out by a doctor as well if you haven't already.

Glad your okay.

This is why I now consider how new the body style of a car is. Newer always means safer and now I consider that in my purchase.

I can't believe you're alive. Wow, those pics are just crazy. Take care of yourself and pay attention to any pain as you could get more sore over time.
