Challenge to all the 08 owners
Well there seems to be a lot of you getting your new metal on the 1st of March (or the 3rd for those that went via a certain broker) so I think it is time for a challenge.
THE LOWEST MILEAGE ON COLLECTION I know mine arrived with 2 miles on the clock which impressed me but lets see if anybody can beat that (pictures are required). I suppose the booby prize will go to the person who takes delivery with 50 miles on the clock |

Mine is being delivered by the dealer to my house on 29 Feb and I guess they will drive it the 14 miles or so from the dealership. Mylast car had 4 miles on it when I got it - think this one will have c.25. I'll get over it!!

You may get lucky and they'll flatbed it. Mine was delivered by flatbed.

So what's the prize and what's the booby prize? Mine arrives in the UK this week but delivery will be March 5th so we can swap a plate over.

I've got no chance.
Mine will be delivered to my office in Cardiff from Stockton on Tees. This puts around 285 miles on the clock. After reading this thread, i've made some changes to the delivery, I'm now gonna drive up to collect on March 1st. That's the spirit!!

Have they stated that they'll be driving it that distance?
I was expecting mine to be driven from my dealer also, but it was delivered on a fully covered and sided truck. IIRC I had 7 miles on

Delivery miles.
How many miles can you expect on the clock for a brand new car when collecting from a dealer for the first time? I'm going to be collecting my M3 very soon and would like to know what to expect please?
Thanks. |

Hi mate, mine had 5 miles on it.
Others have between 3-20 odd. Garunteed everyone of those miles the car has seen the redline and full throttle. Thanks to dock staff and dealers. In my opinion from what i have seen before! Carlos

Thanks mate. That's cheeky of the dealers to do that to someone's ~£60k motor!!
Do you think I should call them up and tell them that I'll be pissed off if anyone drives my car?!! |
